"NARAMYNDED"
The North East and Pacific Coast Tramway
1 mile long, 3% ruling grade, 20 foot radius curves, 5" Gauge, tunnels, trestles, loops, killer moths, the lot!
Built by Bob Farquhar and friends 1993 to 2003
Near Coff's Harbour, New South Wales, Australia
The Moths live in the tunnel. No big deal until you go blasting through at full throttle, after they have not been disturbed for a month, there must have been a thousand of them! and boy were they upset.
Quite the experience, right out of a Hitchcock movie!
Bob's 0-4-0 + 0-4-0 West African based Beyer-Garratt under construction
If you are interested in Narrow Gage Live Steam, live in the general area and would like to visit with Bob and his mates, drop him a line. bobtramway@hotmail.com
While visiting Bob, we also took the opportunity to visit the Glenreagh Mountain Railway, The Powerhouse Museum where the sectioned out sister model to our 1.5" Scale AD60 Class Beyer-Garratt lives and to the Dorrigo Railway Museum where the prototype Beyer-Garratt 6039 is kept. We also visited some of Bob's mates.
