Founded in 1934 - we are the second oldest club in New Zealand. The club recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. We still have one of our founding members in the club who is currently building his 10th loco. There are around 33 locomotives in the club altogether, either under construction or finished. There is also a strong boat building section of the club who have constructed a jetty from which to launch their boats from at the local botanical gardens.
Our track is 980' long with three gauges - 2½" - 3½" - 5"
Club meetings are held on the last Wednesday in the month with track meetings every second Sunday in the month weather permitting.
