Built in part on a granite bed, clearing the right of way is a serious business. There is an on-going discussion about blasting a tunnel right through a rock face!

The Cowans Point Railway is 7.5" gauge and 4,000 feet in length. It is the work of Martin Rogers and is a private facility.
